RusAg and Rosprirodnadzor will carry out a series of activities to clean up coastal areas

Russian Agricultural Bank and Rosprirodnadzor are implementing a series of environmental measures aimed at protecting water bodies and their ecosystems. These activities are joint environmental initiatives implemented by the Ecology Foundation and Rosprirodnadzor in 2023.


As part of the implementation of the Plan of Joint Environmental Initiatives of RusAg and Rosprirodnadzor, approved at the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Ecology Foundation of Russian Agricultural Bank, activities to clean up coastal areas from household garbage, waste and plastic will be held from April to September 2023. In addition, it is planned to install benches and rubbish bins made from recycled plastic, take water and sediment samples, and placement of posters motivating to take care of the environment.


In 2023, events are planned in 13 constituent entities of the Russian Federation: from the Krasnodar Territory to the Novosibirsk Region. Volunteers, including employees of Rosprirodnadzor, RusAg, the Ecology Foundation and representatives of regional authorities, are planning to clean up the territory of the Don, Volga, Irtysh, Tobol rivers, the Black Sea, the shores of the Silicate Lakes of the Lipetsk Region and the Gulf of Finland. In total, about 1,000 people are expected to participate during the events in 2023, and it is planned to collect about 20 tons of garbage.


In 2022, Russian Agricultural Bank and Rosprirodnadzor have already implemented a project to clean up the coastal areas of water bodies in southern Russia. During the environmental activities of the project, volunteers, including employees of the regional offices of Rosprirodnadzor, the Bank and employees of the Ecology Foundation, collected 4 tons of garbage including plastic.
